FANS of Irish boyband Westlife are being urged to get tickets for their Doncaster gig without delay.
Demand for tickets, priced from £35, for the Saturday July 30 open-air concert at the Keepmoat Stadium, is already high.
Shane Chalmers, chief executive of the Stadium Management Company, said: “We are over the moon with demand for Westlife concert tickets on day one. We have seen a large demand for tickets, from fans coming to the Keepmoat Stadium’s box office and ordering by phone, with Ticketmaster also reporting good online sales.
“The phones have not stopped ringing, which is a great sign of things to come over the next few days!
“We advise fans of the band to buy their tickets soon to avoid disappointment.”
The concert will be one of the biggest events of its type hosted in Doncaster, and the response should be on a par with when Sir Elton John played at the Keepmoat in 2008.
Westlife – Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan – are the only act in British and Irish history to have their first seven singles go straight to number one, and have sold over 44 million records worldwide. They have had 14 number one singles in the UK.
Tickets for the event are now on sale from the Keepmoat Stadium ticket office and online via the Ticketmaster website www.ticketmaster.co.uk. Call the ticket office on 01302 762587 or Ticketmaster on 0844 4631875.
